get2cycle is the trading name of part-time Sole Trader Ian Thewlis.
I currently operate as a not-for-profit business with the aim of promoting cycling. The term not-for profit is often banded about, in this case it means the main aim of the business is to promote cycling and not to pay me a wage. I have a good day job for my day to day wage.
That said, it is a business and it has overheads - so I have to try and cover those. I also need to cover my personal expenses and invest in providing cycling opportunities. If after all this there are any profits this will be re-invested in the project s run by the company.
This may seem a strange way to run a business, why dont I just run a cycling club?
